SQL Employee Database

Here I am using SQL to inspect several aspects of a database containing HP employee information using PostgreSQL from several csv datasets.

The project incorporates three aspects:

• data modeling and engineering using entity relationship diagrams (ERD) 'quickdatabasediagrams'
• data analysis using SQL (PostgreSQL) and python (Nympy)
• data visualization using Matplotlib

Hawaii Weather

This project is focused on data storage and retrieval (SQL), data manipulation (Pandas) and data rendering on a local server (Flask).

The project incorporates three aspects:

• ETL: SQL (PostgreSQL) and python (Nympy) for extracting, cleaning, and transforming data
• data visualization using Matplotlib
• data visualization: quick prototyping using Flask API

Covid X-Ray image classification

Deep learning techniques for image analysis and classification can be used on X-ray images to spot anomalies and aid healthcare personnel in diagnosis. Based on publicly available data of Covid-19 positive and normals this model was able to properly predict the risk of Covid-19 from an X-ray image.

The project incorporates:

• data selection from Kaggle and other sources
• data inspection - actually a really important part
• data processing: dataset construction, preprocessing (color and shape), normalization, and build the train and tests sets
• data modeling: CNN using KerasTensor Flow in CoLab
• data validation and prediction
• deployment: check with real patient images

Natural Language Processing : job posting

This project is focused on text classification which is one of the applications of supervised ML. The aim was to use nlp differentiate fraudulent job postings from real ones. We used a dataset of real and fake job postings from Kaggle

Tableau : Bike usage analysis

I wanted to have fun analyzing bike usage in NYC during August 2019 (prepandemic). I had lots of fun discovering what data can tell you like hourly patterns, gender preferences and age differences. DATA IS FUN.

COVID-19 Outbreak

This project aims to create a dashboard to track COVID-19 outbreak that was initially detected in Wuhan (Hubei, China), and was declared a pandemic by the WHO on Wednesday 3-11-2020.

The project incorporates the following aspects:

• data manipulation (ETL): extraction from Johns Hopkins, transformation using Pandas, loading to PostgreSQL using SQLalchemy
• dashboard creation: HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap grid using JavaScript

Track your Goals

Web application that allows you to create a list of project goals. The application consists of user registration and authentication system, and has been built with HTML, Bootstrap, SQLite, and Flask.

Once logged in, users can add, modify, and remove items. Once logged out the home page appears blank.

The project incorporates the following aspects:

• security issues such as hash passwords and POST request to ensure privacy
• user error reporting
• data manipulation SQLite3

Belly Button Biodiversity Dashboard

This project aims to create an interactive dashboard to explore the biodiversity of the microbes that populate human navels.

The project is written in JavaScript and uses D3.js libraries to fetch data in json format.
